Begeistert 021 Reports and Presentations

News by Jorge G. Mare on Tue, 10/27/2009 - 01:04

The first reports from the Begeistert 021 Haiku conference are finally starting to surface. First we have a report from long time community member Daniel Texeira at IsComputerOn. Later today Haiku developer François Revol posted his experiences of Begeistert and the Haiku Code Sprint that followed on the Haiku Blog-O-Sphere. In addition to these reports, we have also located both slides as well as a video of some of the presentations held during the event.

Christof Lutteroth of the University of Auckland presented over the video feed their work on The Auckland Layout Model (ALM), of which you can get the slides from here and the sample code from here; we have word that the session was recorded, and that the video is expected to become available at some point in time. Slides from the presentation given by Adrien Destugues on the topic of the Haiku Locale Kit can also be downloaded from here. The slides used by Nicholas Blachford to present his views on the always sensitive topic of distro guidelines and trademarks are available from here. Last but not least, Colin Gunther has posted his presentation on the Haiku wifi stack at http://prezi.com/la1-hbudxc4k for everybody's viewing pleasure (Flash required).
